SHP EXHIBITS – Two of our international members will be attending and exhibiting. They are Karoly Szucs from Hungary and Fumihasa Ito from Japan. Please welcome them warmly.
SHP SOCIETY BOOTH – Plan to visit our table in the Society section of the bourse area at #5 in the Europe Pavilion, near other European societies and next to the Czechoslovakia Society. Setup is on Saturday morning when the show opens. If you are available to help set up, your assistance will be welcome.
ANNUAL MEETING – Our annual meeting will be on Tuesday, May 26 from 1:00–3:00 pm in Meeting Room 157A (Level 1). The first hour will be our Annual General Meeting and the second hour will be an Expert Presentation from Csaba Kohalmi on “Lajos Kossuth in Philately”.
SHP GROUP DINNER – Our dinner will be at the Scarlet Oak Tavern in Hingham on Tuesday, May 26 at 6:30 pm and will be a traditional New England feast. We are looking forward to a wonderful turnout and still have space for a few more to join. The cost will be $70/person, plus taxes and gratuity, collected prior to the dinner. We will have a guest from the Spellman Museum of Stamps and Postal History at our dinner, Jeff Brigham, their librarian. Please welcome him as we continue to develop our partnership with the museum. SHP is working with the Spellman to have them display their large Hungarian collection. If you would like to visit, the museum will be open on Monday and Thursday, and there will be shuttles on those days (which require prior registration with the museum).
EVENT LODGING – We have been able to secure lodging outside Boston. The Comfort Inn in Rockland has granted us a group rate of $125/night. We have 11 rooms booked so far. If you haven’t yet booked a room, please contact Alan Bauer at alan@hungarianstamps.com.
