Lot 10 – Limited-edition presentation folder, for the centenary of the birth of St. Pope John Paul II, which includes four commemorative sheets: a standard sheet, a green and a red-numbered specially perforated sheet, and a black print only available as part of this folder. Only 1000 sets made, and each comes with a unique serial number. Retail price $120. Min Bid $34.00

Lot 11 – Limited-edition presentation folder commemorating the Fundamental Law for Hungary, 10th anniversary. Design is the Crown of St. Stephen. The set includes perf, imperf, and monochrome edition souvenir sheets. Only 2500 copies made. Never opened. Retail price $50. Min Bid $14.50

Lot 12 – Full sheets, 1949 constitution printer’s sheets, Sc# 856a-858a. All are unwatermarked and have the papermaker’s watermark in the margins of the sheets. There is a small tear in the top selvage of the 1Ft sheet. Min Bid $300.00

Lot 37 – Outer wrapper posted by registered mail from Pancsova (Ryan# 1169) to Kremier, Moravia in 1854. Although missing a stamp on the front, this cover has a Ryan point value of “R” due to the RECOMA strike. Min Bid $100.00

Lot 51 – Registered commercial cover sent via airmail to Bremen, Germany, then to New York City via London. Min Bid $17.50

Lot 52 – Budapest-Vienna flight card to the WIPA Stamp Exhibition. Nice group of airmail stamps. Min Bid $10.50

Lot 53 – Budapest boxed biplane cancellation on a philatelic cover to Innsbruck, Austria. Min Bid $10.50

Lot 54 – A soldier’s fieldpost letter with Austrian and British censorship, free franking to New Jersey. Unusual to find without postage due. Min Bid $8.50

Lot 55 – Four covers with korona-currency franking: the first sent to Burlington, VT, the second a request for a journal, the third a registered cover from Budapest to New York, and the fourth a commerical cover sent from Budapest to Vienna. The Mauthner cover is franked with a perfin stamp. Min Bid $8.50

Lot 56 – Four covers: the first a registered printed-matter cover sent to Burlington, VT, the second an ad for a new medication, the third from a stamp dealer in Budapest, and the fourth from the Hotel Dunapalota in Budapest. Min Bid $8.50

Lot 57 – Three 1948 covers: the first a cover sent from the Hungarian State Tourist Office to New York, the second and third sent to the same person in Louisville, KY. One of these cards is a thank you for a welcome warm wool coat, and the postal meter and customs label have been attached to the card. Min Bid $8.50

Lot 58 – Four covers: the first is a ratty printed-matter cover from Budapest franked with a 2f on 6f on 8f stamp, and the second a printed-matter card franked with 2f and 4f stamps. Both are from stamp dealers in Budapest. The other two covers are postal cards, both uprated with a 4f and 8f stamp. One has birthday greetings in German, and the other the itinerary in English of a ship of the Atlantic Transport Line. Min Bid $5.00

Lot 59 – Six mint postal envelopes, identified as Higgins and Gage numbers B1, 5, 14 and 15A, plus (2) Hodobay airmail envelopes #27. H&G #5 is a partial cover with the left portion neatly cut off. Min Bid $5.00

Lot 60 – Seven mint postal cards: 2 letter cards (Hodobay #21 and 39)), 2 postal cards (Hodobay# 95 type 2 and 127), an advertising card (Hodobay# 24/3), and 2 tabori cards. Min Bid $5.00

Lot 61 – Eight postal cards, including a 5f mixed-franking card sent to the US, closed letter cards (Hodobay# 5, 7, and 21), and international (31A) and domestic (28Ab and 36a) cards, originating from Buda Pesthe,Szkiczo, Budapest, Pinkaf?, and Sissek, etc. The card shown in 61g-h has 2 Swiss postage due stamps applied and the receipt is attached with masking tape. Thrown in for free is a Austria #1 postal card sent from Asch to Augsburg. Min Bid $5.00

Lot 62 – Eight postal cards, with one censored, including domestic and international cards (Hodobay# 31A, 42 x 3, 49, 51, and 76) plus a closed letter card #33. Of note is the unusual oval cancel sent to Ujdivek seen in scan 62g. Postmarks include Budapest, Selmeczbﾠnya, Trencsen, and Sopron, with foreign destinations in the US, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, Min Bid $5.00

Lot 63 – Eight postal cards, both domestic and international (Hodobay# 36a, 42, 51, 52, 81, 115, and 111/C-15) and 1923 null value card #1. Of note is a registered card from Felsosegesd to Vﾠcs. Other postmarks include Kecskemet, P?styen, and Budapest. Foreign destinations include Holland, Germany, Switzerland, and the US. Min Bid $5.00

Lot 64 – A page from a business ledger used to calculate the General Sales Tax due on transactions, with each side accounting for a day’s sales. General Sales Tax (Forgalmi Ado) stamps on both sides have a Barefoot CV of 22.75 British pounds ($29.15@.78). Min Bid $8.50

Lot 65 – Hand illustrated Tabori postcard sent from Feldpost 363 to Szekelyudvarhely on September 29, 1918. Regimental cachet for “K.u.k. Infantrieregiment Nr. 131.” Min Bid $8.50

Lot 66 – Registered cover franked with a 1P Horthy from Budapest to the Prisoner of War Section of the Red Cross in Geneva, Switzerland sent on January 20, 1943. Resealed with Hungarian censor tape and censor cachets. Geneve 1 receiving strike on back. Min Bid $17.00

Lot 67 – Tabori Post card with hand-drawn Easter illustration on the back sent from Ocsa to Tabori Posta 111/48 on April 12, 1943. Min Bid $8.50

Lot 68 – Four Tabori Post cards: two sent from Kispest to Tabori Posta 111/48 on April 6 and April 9, 1943, and two sent from Budapest to Tabori Posta 111/48 on April 21 and May 1, 1943. Min Bid $8.50

Lot 69 – Three Tabori Post cards sent from Koseg on March 26, 1943, from Galgamacsa on March 22, 1943, and from Csepel on May 21, 1943 to Tabori Posta 111/48, plus one unsent card. Min Bid $6.50

Lot 70 – Four Tabori Post cards: two sent from TPO 152 on the Kecskemet-Budapest rail-line to Tabori Posta 111/48 on May 7, 1943 and May 8, 1943, and two Tabori post cards cancelled with Tabori postahivatal cancellers on August 4, 1944 and October 12, 1944. Min Bid $8.50

Lot 71 – A 5f Bilingual Hungarian/Croatian PSC overprinted “1914-1915” and surcharged an additional 2f for war charity (Simady #40/Hodobay#57) sent from Zagreb to Troppau on September 16, 1915. Min Bid $8.50

Lot 72 – Two 5f PSC (Simady #34): one from the 1915 printing uprated with a 5f turul sent from Budapest to New York on February 23, 1916 with a Budapest censor cachet, and one from the 1916 printing sent from Szabadka to Feldpost 107 on July 21, 1916, plus two Tabori Post cards sent from Pestzentimre to Tabori Posta 111/48 on April 10 and April 19, 1943. Lot 77 – Two Tabori Post items: a military postage-free postcard sent from Komaron to Fehertemplom on May 31, 1887 with a faint regimental cachet, and a folded letter sent from Tabori postahivatal 107 to Budapest on February 5, 1916. Regimental cachet for “Marschbrigade der Gruppe Fel. Kosak.” Min Bid $8.50

Lot 78 – Five Tabori Post items: first, a cover sent from Tabori postahivatal 251 to Steiermark in Austria on February 28, 1916. Regimental cachet for “K.u.k. Abschnittskommando FMLt. Winkler., plus four Tabori post cards sent from Szabadka 1 to Feldpost 107 on various dates during July 1916. One damaged. Min Bid $6.00
