TRIANON TRANSITIONS: NAGYBECSKEREK IN THE BÁNÁT
A postal money order cancelled on January 25, 1919 at Nagybecskerek in Torontál County in the Serbian Occupied Bánát – the form, the stamps and the canceller are all still Hungarian (from the collection of Paul de Leeuv van Weenen).
A letter sent from ‘Veliki’ Becskerek, now in the S.H.S Kingdom, to Budapest cancelled on February 9, 1921 – only the name of the sender and the registration label are still Hungarian and even the registration label has “Nagy” crossed out and replaced with “Vel” (from the collection of Paul de Leeuv van Weenen).
