THE 1919 SZEGED NATIONAL GOVERNMENT OVERPRINT ISSUE

53.3-1

Local commercial cover sent on July 5, 1919, franked with 20f in Szeged National Government overprinted stamps, including a 10f Postage Due used as a regular postage stamp, to pay the 2nd weight step (up to 40g) local letter rate (from the collection of Christopher Brainard).

53.3-2

A letter sent from Szeged to Vienna on August 21, 1919, franked with 23f in Szeged National Government overprinted stamps to pay the domestic letter rate of 20f. Mail to Austria was subject to domestic tariffs until January 1, 1920 (from the collection of Csaba L. Kohalmi).
