Lot 1 – The Stamps of Baranya, translated by Anthony Muller. Reprinted as translation into English in 2001. Shipping should be in the range of $15-30 depending on destination. Min Bid $30.00

Lot 2 – A Magyar Belyegek Kezikonyve, by Gabor Visnyovszki. The black book of classic Hungarian philately. Shipping should be in the range of $15-40 depending on destination. Min Bid $30.00

Lot 3 – Sc# 96a, 35/50 filler typesetting error in a broken sheet with missing margins. 140 complete sheets were withdrawn from the post offices after the error was discovered. MBK CV for full sheet is 150,000 Ft, approximately $440. Min Bid $150.00

Lot 4 – Sc# 864-6, Stalin’s birthday, imperf complete small sheets of 9 stamps. The printer’s sheet incorporated all three stamps in 3×3 format in a horizontal strip, but most of these sheets were cut apart for resale. The printing quantity was 9400 imperf sets. MBK CV 60,000 Ft, approximately $175. Min Bid $85.00

Lot 5 – Sc# C95, perf and imperf lilac Stamp Day presentation sheets, in mint, pristine condition. 1060 sets exist. SCV $3200. Min Bid $1100.00

Lot 6 – Sc# B223var, Panorama presentation sheet, perf only. 2500 copies exist. SCV for both perf and imperf sheets together is $2000. Min Bid $200.00

Lot 7 – Sc# 899a, Children’s Day `Utanpotlasunk’ unissued stamp. 1661 copies sold. SCV $950. Min Bid $475.00

Lot 8 – Four duck booklets, Sc# 3138var, Hungarian and German as issued, plus Sc# 3200var, the same pair revalued. Also, two separate sheets of 10, given away to new subscribers by the Hungarian Philatelic Agency that functioned out of Cheyenne, WY for a couple of years around 1989. SCV $118. Min Bid $60.00

Lot 9 – Nine different non-postal souvenir sheets from 1971 through 2007. Min Bid $5.00

Lot 10 – The Ferdinand Schwartz collection from 1871 to the 1950’s, 272 pages, with each unique page meticulously drawn in pencil. Approximately 3300 stamps, starting with the lithographed issues, with some light duplication. This is philately, philatelic history, and a masterpiece of philatelic art all rolled into one. True value is far beyond the SCV. Min Bid $400.00

Lot 11 – Four postally used 2 kr postcards with a variety of postmarks, some marked for type, with a variety of indicium shades, spacing of printing and width of inner brackets. Hodobay CV approximately $34. Min Bid $5.00

Lot 14 – 1910 picture postcard with a bilingual Cameral Moravice railway station cancellation. Min Bid $5.00

Lot 15 – Philatelically franked 1920 irredentist propaganda card and a 1917 anti-Italian propaganda card which is a good example of the use of a special delivery card and a Hungarian Peace Church vignette. Min Bid $5.00

Lot 16 – Two WWI free-franked censored picture postcards sent to Feldpost office 297, one showing a campfire scene and the other a battle scene. Min Bid $5.00

Lot 17 – A futuristic aviation picture postcard, inscribed `To a Happy Reunion’ sent to Gyor with a 5h Austrian stamp. Min Bid $10.00

Lot 18 – A Chain Bridge real picture postcard sent by a rare UK visitor to Budapest in December 1920. Franked with a pair of 1kr Koztarsasag Parliament stamps and forwarded from England to Scotland. Min Bid $5.00

Lot 19 – A 1917 marine Feldpost picture postcard from the ship Kaiser Franz Joseph showing the submarine fleet in the harbor. Min Bid $25.00

Lot 20 – Free-franked `ex offo’ stampless homemade envelope with Petervardein postmark. Min Bid $5.00

Lot 21 – Stampless folded letter, sent from England to Austria. Scan contrast increased to improve legibility, but destination still somewhat illegible. Inside correspondence overwritten both vertically and horizontally. Min Bid $5.00

Lot 22 – 1844 folded free-franked official letter sent from Totis to Pesth, with a report to the Ministry of Commerce on the number of businesses and apprentices in the village of Mocsa. Min Bid $5.00

Lot 23 – Printed matter folded letter with Budapest postmark on 2kr Franz Joseph stamp, sent to Count Gyula Csaky, a member of Parliament. Min Bid $5.00

Lot 24 – 1871 cover addressed to Baron von Schneeburg in Olmutz, with Postyen postmark on a lithographed 5kr Franz Joseph stamp. Arrived one day after posting. Min Bid $10.00

Lot 25 – Cover sent to Andritz bei Graz, postmarked Gyula on an engraved 5kr Franz Joseph stamp. Min Bid $5.00
