The concept for the Robert Morgan SHP Exhibiting Program was voted on and approved at the August 2025 SHP Annual Meeting. The details for the program are as follows:
- The Exhibiting Program is limited to exhibits related to Hungarian philately that will be shown at an APS World Series of Philately (WSP) show or a World Stamp Show (WSS). Exhibitor Stipends (i.e., payments to exhibitors) are available to SHP members who are first time exhibitors and to SHP members who have previously exhibited and are offering a new exhibit. Stipends are limited to one per member per year.
- Each Exhibitor Stipend is limited to covering the exhibition frame fee plus the cost of sending the exhibit to the show and returning it to the owner. It does not include the cost of acquiring material to exhibit, preparing the exhibit, purchasing shipping containers for the exhibit, or personal travel to carry the exhibit to the show. Exhibitor Stipends shall be limited to a maximum of $250.00.
- Exhibitor Stipends are offered to members in good standing only. This includes members living outside the United States and honorary members.
- Applications for Exhibitor Stipends are available from the Treasurer of the SHP or can be DOWNLOADED HERE. Completed applications should be submitted to the Treasurer no later than 90 days before the show at which the Exhibit will be shown. Applications for Exhibitor Stipends will be approved by both the President and the Treasurer of the SHP.
- Because the Exhibitor Stipend is designed to encourage members to exhibit, preference shall be given to members who would be exhibiting for the first time. The size of an exhibit is not important except as it fits within the 20-frame maximum (see #6).
- A maximum of 20 frames of exhibits per show shall be supported with Exhibitor Stipends. Should applications for Exhibitor Stipends for more than 20 frames be received, the President of the SHP and the Treasurer will decide which exhibits will be supported.
- The Society’s Treasurer shall administer the financial aspects of the Exhibitor Stipend program.
